Blinds with 50 mm slats - the classic wooden blind

Made-to-measure venetian blinds with wide 50 mm slats: fewer, wider slats, more visible grain, the look most people picture when they think of a wooden blind. This is the largest range in the shop - 85 wood decors and 12 bamboo finishes, cut to the size you enter, to the millimetre.

  • Basswood - contemporary finishes, from smooth greys to deep blacks.
  • Basswood FSC - the same look, on timber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
  • Paulownia - brushed surfaces that bring out the raw texture of the wood.
  • Bamboo 50 mm - the same wide format in bamboo, lighter to lift.

What is included

Valance, brackets and child safety device without surcharge. Mounting in the window recess, on the frame, on the wall or ceiling, or with no-drill clamps on PVC windows. Operation by cord and tilt wand, endless chain, or a motor with remote control on blinds from 800 mm wide. Optional ladder tape in 10, 25 or 38 mm, side guides and other extras, each priced where you choose it.

How to measure

You enter the finished size - nothing is deducted or added. The measuring guide shows what to measure for each mounting, and the measurement guarantee applies if you measure wrong: one remake at 30% off, within 30 days.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes can be made? With cord and tilt operation, from 450 to 3600 mm wide and 300 to 3600 mm high - the maximum width depends on the decor. With the endless chain, from 600 to 2400 mm wide and 300 to 3000 mm high; motorised, from 800 to 3600 mm wide and 300 to 4000 mm high. The configurator shows the limits for the operation and decor you pick and will not accept a size that cannot be made.

25 mm or 50 mm slats? 50 mm shows more of the wood and reads as a stronger design element; 25 mm is finer, lighter and stacks smaller. Large windows generally look better with the wide slat.
